The Arc of Clayton County’s Celebration for International Day of Persons with Disabilities

December 2, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

On October 14, 1992, the United Nations’ General Assembly proclaimed December 3rd as the International Day of Disabled Persons; however, in 2007, the assembly changed the observance’s name to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.  Since then, this date has been annually observed worldwide, focusing on issues that affect people around the world with all disabilities.  The theme for this year is “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”.

People with intellectual/developmental disabilities from Clayton Center’s Community Support Services (CSS) will be singing on December 2, 2018 at the 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning church service at Living Faith Tabernacle.  The address is 5880 Old Dixie Highway, Forest Park GA 30297, and we would love to see you there!

The choir has been rehearsing for weeks, and they are very excited to bring the gospel through song.  This will be their first chance to perform as a group in front of a large congregation.  Much thanks to Senior Pastor Jeremy Tuck and Angie Bateman for this opportunity!
